Remember the Village Walk?
Walking up these steps to the Terracotta Room, sampling the delicious wine on offer. Remember the big silver bowl in the middle and the wines in rows on the wall? Finding myself not quite steady on my feet and deciding better not to drive for a while. And sipping on a steaming hot cup of coffee waiting. Ah..memories - it is good to remember the happy times.
Thanks for commenting on my blog. I just found this blog about Marysville. Diane and I went there on one of our annual wine trips. We stayed at a fantastic country inn, unfortunately can't remember the name. It was in a very leafy area near the centre of town. I remember, we walked down into town to the pub for dinner. Next day we visited a cute little museum where a chap called Reg showed us around. Then we drove up to a waterfall again, not far from town. I assume the country inn and the museum are now gone. It was tragic.

Hi Bill,
ReplyDeleteWas it the Cumberland? That is no longer there, although Tower Motel still stands. Steavensons Falls suffered significant damage - I cried when I saw photos of it after ther bushfires.
So much is gone.
